V6 vs. V8
Your a youngin and will have plenty of time to get a V8 in the future.I would say go ahead w/ the newerV6 and get familiar with the car. I've seen too many young kids w/ V8'sgetting in accidents due to being an unexperienced driver. Plus a V6 is a bit better on gas and a bit lower insurancepayment.Once you get comfortable with the car, you can always add mods to beef it up a bit. Just a thought......

I'm a 16 year old looking to buy his first car. I have about a 7-10k budget. I'm looking at a '05 v6 w/ about 50k miles. A family friend of mine said that it would be better to purchase an olderGt V8 because of its value it will retain when i go to sell the car. On the other hand, gas prices are rising and a V8 would kill me w/ my income. What would be the overall better choice to go with if i want the most out of my car, a newer V6 or an older V8?

I also will say get a V6 first, man V8 they suck more gas, but than it really up to you? You got to see if u can afford insurance and gas. Yea i got a 95 gt i just use it as my weekend car due to gas, i am pretty sure u going to be using it as a commuter so best deal v6.
