Default Parking Brake Question

I have a 2003 Mustang Deluxe edition. I'm 18 and not very smart when it comes to cars. But my Mustang seems to have 2 parking brakes, one on the floor left of the brake and one next to the console. I'm just concerned because the one on the floor doesn't move at all when I pushed it to test it. Is this supposed to happen? I was worried that I might have been driving with the parking brake on, although no light stayed on while I was driving. Again, sorry about my crude knowledge but just concerned. Maybe that third pedal on the floor isn't even a parking brake since I have one on the console, i'm not sure.

Ya, just a nice resting place for your foot on a cruise.

Careful though if you press to hard on it your your foot may hurt.

LOL! These threads are awesome! Yeah a dead pedal is a place for your foot to rest so you're not putting unnecessary stress on your clutch system. "Resting" your foot on the clutch puts strain on the cable and over time will wear it out prematurely. It's also much more comfortable to rest your foot on the dead pedal than on the floor board IMHO.
