Roll Bar question????
I have a 96 cobra conv and would like to put a roll bar in it. You know, for safety and it looks cool
questions? where can I get a roll bar for the lowest price? probably a 4 point with maybe the removeble cross bar would be great.
also I want to bolt it in, not weld. Can anyone tell me what is involved with installing the roll bar. thanks so much for any replys.

the only real rollbar i have seen for our verts is made by autopower. its either a 4pt or a 6pt(cant quite remember) and i think that they sell for $200-$250. i think its a bolt in cage as well. not sure about the removable crossbar though, my guess is you would have to buy the kit, and then have it fabbed so that you can remove the crossbar.
If you plan on racing at the track, the cross bar can't be removable and the cage has to be welded in.
Besides, welded is WAY stronger than bolted in. If you're going to the trouble of putting in a cage, why not do it right?
Buying a bolt in roll bar is like buying seat belts and then using 1/4" machine screws to install them.

Bolted or welded, you're gonna have to cut holes in your interior trim panels,, are you ready to do that? Alsomight as well remove rhe rear seat completedly it'll be pretty much useless with a rollbar in place
