Default raced a 2005 gto

Went up against my buddy's 2005 gto stock exept for no cats and bola exhaust. 1st try I spun all the way through first gear and shifted way to late. i usualy shift by the sound of the engine but his car was so loud drouwned mine out. so he killed me not even a race. second try was at a rolling start from second gear. he pulled a half a car a head and that was it. he said that he tried shifting his automatic from l1 to l2 to see if that would be better. so thats why i stayed with him. I told him we will see will try again tonight. oh ya on my car I have xpipe catback exhaust and cai and 3.73 gears. What could I do to beable to beat him. with out diging in to the engine. I was thinking new intake pleneum and 70mm t/b. plus a sct tune. do you think that this would do it.

try the throttle body. maybe some different injectors. 4;10 gears too, but they're a pain in the *** once you got them on there to set up the speedometer, and stuff. the gas mileage is kinda dissapointing if it's your daily driver. the way i am though while i don't like supporting the bastards in the oil/gasoline industry i still don't mind spending money on driving. it's a personal hobby.

try the throttle body and intake plenum. then get the sct tune or a dyno tune would b the best. but you do not need injecters unless you do some major **** to your car. you can adjust the fuel with the sct. you could also get some steeda or moto blue under drive pullies because these come with the whole harmonic balancer unlike some other brands. then you should not have a problem with the gto check out my buddies bolt on mustang gt race a ls2 gto. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/0...-gt_155000.htm

thanks guys for the info most definetly going to do the plenium and thottle body plus tune. but what size thottle body 70mm or 75mm i've been told 75mm is not woth it unless some major work has been done to the engine.
