Default INSTALLING A HOOD

What's the best way to install a hood on a latemodel mustang. It looks like there are only four bolts that have to be unscrewed. Is that correct?

Yeah, just make sure you have a couple people to help hold it, Because you dont want to ding it.

Unscrew the bolts, and then just srew the new one in, easy as pie.

the trick is getting the new hood aligned with the bodywork around it so it looks right and doesn't hit the adjacent body panels and latches properly.

Yeah 3 people is the best to do the job. Make sure when you bolt it up you lower it very slowly to make sure the alignment is right. Take your time on it and it will be easy.

yeah, alignment is a bitch. If you are only taking the hood off for bodywork or whatever and putting the exact same hood back on, it's a good idea to mark the outline of the hinges on the hood itself before removal.
