What Lubrication do you prefer?

RE: What Lubrication do you prefer?
I tried mobil 1 synthetic and I ran faster at the track.
but I went through more oil.
the synthetic seems to get thin quick.
I use cheap oil now, oil is oil. I burn oil too so I add a bottle of 15w40 to my 10w30.

My girl has hit that time again. Time to change her lube.
I haven't changed my oil on my stang yet and was wondering what personal preference was.
I have always used synthetic in my previous cars and plan on using here.
What oil is preferred and most importantly...what is a good oil filter. Used to use FRAM a long time ago until I read an article on how poorly they trapped sediments.
Oh and I better not see anybody type in KY Jelly for their lube.........[sm=forgetit.gif]

I switched from Pennzoil 10W-40 to Royal Purple 5W-30 synthetic and never had any problems running the synthetic oil and this was after 80,000 miles on the engine. (I got 5 gallons as a freebie!) I use Motorcraft or Fram filters.

I used Mobil 1 and Mobil 1 Filter. What ever you do DO NOT USE ANY FRAM OIL FILTER.
A review was done on oil filters. Check it out before you decide. Motorcraft is great btw.

Synthetic works so much better than conventional oil it's ridiculous. It's amazing to me that people still use that crap.

i use whatever synthetic jiffy lube puts in it...proby that castrol stuff..but who knows...but then somtimes i go to the dealer and get synthetic there too...but i just tell them run full synthetic...as far as filters i get generic filters, k&n makes oil filters as well.

Royal Purple! Purolator Pure One, Motorcraft or Mobil 1 filter. Mobil 1, Redline and Amsoil are also good synthetics. I agree with the above statements on synthetic oil use.....synthetics are so tremendously better in all areas, it is a wonder anyone uses conventional anymore.
Synthetic Oil = increased HP & rpm, virtually no engine wear, better high-heat performance, better cold weather performance (flows to -45 to -50 degrees F when conventional oils are like mud at that temperature and won't even pour out of their containers), extended oil drains, increased mileage and absolutely no carboning or sludge forming as happens with conventional oils.
Why use anything else? It costs more but you only need 3 oil changes to every 4 of any conventional oil. Good stuff!
