17k would be on the high side for an 03 Mach1. If you want one there are better deals out there. I got mine for 14K: 32000 miles, with an SCT programmer, K&N FIPK, 4.10 gears, and Magnaflow exhaust.
stock cars are worth more so im assuming that the car he is talking about is stock.

i personally would not buy a car that was already modified.

they are offering 14k for your GT? wow ...

i would haev expected like 10500-11000...

how many miles on it? i bought my 03 gt with 75k for 9700

wel yesterday i went in to do the trade after getting the ok from wife. sat down getting ready to sign papers when i noticed all the hidden fees what a rip off 750 reconditioning of my car 750 handling of the mach 550 paper documentation fee. 50 dollar battery and tire disposoal fee. and so on coming out to an additional 3grand on top off the 3grand diffrence in the trade. I laughed at them and said see ya.

do you have any skills with sales people?? im sure you couldve brought the price down a little.

they wanted 6500 for my car when i bought it, but i ended up paying 4800.

get the mach, negotiate the price, keep your current mods, sell them and you get a better motor and an SEfor a very small amount
