Hydraulic Engine Lock, What Gave

Hydraulic Engine Lock, What Gave
3 1/2 years ago I had a leaking carb that flooded the engine. Upon attempting to start the hydraulic condition occured. After pulling the plugs to drain the cylinder the engine started up but a small tick could be heard which went away once the oil pressure came up. Shortly afterward I took an out of state work assignment and the car has been in storage since.
I'm now ready to get back into this engine to figure out what happened and what needs to be repaired/replaced.
What I could use some help with is understanding whatmay have broke and what items need to be inspected for possible damage.
I'm struggling to understand what is causing the tick sound that is effected by oil pressure, lifter orbearing?

RE: Hydraulic Engine Lock, What Gave
I have seen this happen in not so bad cases and real bad case of it. I have seenjust bent rods and I have seen rods come out of blocks. I would take a good look at the rod bearings then even a better look at the rods. and have the crank checked for being straight

If the tick went away it was probably lifter collapsed from the gas. If there are no noises and the oil pressure is good, then you are probably okay. Check oil pressure with a gauge at the sending unit not the dash gauge.
