What is the fine for having illegal tint in VA?

 

google knows the answer to this one.

 

apparently it doesnt for VA. I tried there before posting.

 

i think its 30%--- my cousin lives there, and i think he got a $200 fine for illegal tint (he had/has 15%) he then ended up lying to the judge saying his mom was with him, and she wasn't, after the judge found that out the judge took his licenses for 30days.

VA is a stupid state--- noise/exhaust laws, hood height laws, WTF?--- dumb....
i went there to visit and got pulled for having a 5" hood, i told him i was only in town for 2 more days.... he still wrote a ticket for $75 and sent me on my way.... pointless is ya ask me.

 

Ive heard of ppl removing the tint and taking it into the court and having the fines dropped does anyone know if its true. And YES VA sucks w laws we cant do anything.

 

You HAVE to remove the tint anyway.. why would they drop the fine if you did what you HAD to do?

 

Yea Va. really sucks about any kind of automotive law.

Yep, triple_j75 is correct. It's 50% on the front 2 sides and 35% everywhere else. As for the ticket, my friend got one last week from a VA state trooper and it was something around $160
