Default Torque Question

I am new to the Mustang family. I just purchased an 08 GT, 4.6L V8, w/ GT premium uprgrades. I just dont seem to really feel the jump when accelerating from a stopped position. Did I have high expectations or do I need to add upgrades? Any suggestions would be extremely helpful as I am an newbie.

Would upgradeing my air intake help?

depends on what you're looking for and what you're used to.
Adding mods always helps...either economically or performance stand points.

auto or manual>???

i know it was only a matter of time until I got **** for having an automatic..lol... It is fun to drive believe me but i traded my gto in for my first mustang but I thought that i would have seen a better difference in the mustang. Believe me though I love my pony a lot more than my GTO but maybe the automatic is the difference that i am feeling. If I could have bought an manual that night I would have it is just to long of a story.
