hi, im a first time user of this forum and i mainly signed up cause i was having some problems with my car. one problem im having is that the other day i went to turn on my windhield wipers and they didnt come one. the wipers didnt move and there was no noise that gives me the idea that they were attempting to come on. i assume that they arent getting power somehow and i am wonndering if it may have anything to do with my attempt to install a new head unit in the car. i was swapping the stock radio for a sony xplod head unit but ended up not having all the parts i needed to install the new head unit after i removed the stock radio so i am radioless at the moment with only wires hanging from the dash so im wondering if the radio being disconnected would have affected my wipers in someway?its seems a little farfetched to me but its all i can think of since when i checked the fuse box the fuse for the wi[ers was good. anybody with any kind of idea or advice please help! im blind when it rains!

On my 01 I used to have my wipers and radio both stopped working after a blown fuse. One fuse fixed both problems. Radio would display time but wouldn't play.

 

on my dad's '69, A fuse blew then the voltage regulator went out. we re[laced both, but then realized none of the electrical items worked. we replaced then a different fuse that didn't have anything to do with the wipers, and it fixed them.
