Default Worn/Bald tires performance

Do worn/bald tires perform alot worse on DRY road. it seems liek they would work better since there is more rubber on the ground.

My bald tires spun very bad i coudnt get traction, since i got new rear tires they grip pretty good. I didnt buy anything special i got used tires for $25 each including balancing. I dont understand tire traction but i have never had good traction on a bald tire lol.

Normal street tires are usually a very hard compound. Unless you bought a softer compound tire to begin with (low treadwear rating) then it'd be possible to get decent dry weather performance light to light...

Iv never got good traction with bald tires. Im pretty sure the tire compound gets harder on most street tires the closer to the belts you get. I have heard that b4 and it makes since that tire manufactures would need a harder compound for the general integrity of the tire.

i crashed in the rain with bald nittos! and for some reason i bought rims and tires with nittos again. But in dry weather i thought they gripped a little better, probably just in my head.

when i brought the car, it had seriously worn tires (no thread or very little) and when it comes to breaking..they really loose the grip of the road but they are very easy to do burn outs on them when i was going to buy the new ones, i was doing burn outs everywhere...when i got the new ones, i did it one time ago when i was leaving a party at a friend's house..it did the burn out but i notice it wasnt as much smoke as the old ones did..*sighs* like those moments, good to have worn tires lol

Bald tires, like slicks, only grip well at the track b/c the surface is prepped and it makes a LOT of friction when you have rubber on VHT. On the street, they just suck (blad tires, not slicks)
