i tried messing with that little piece that goes through but no luck.

 

Pull the wiper arm up. Where the hook of the arm is there is a plastic peice that slides in it. There should be a little button. On must its a little square button. Push the button and pull the wiper at the same time.

 

You have to pull the little clip out, then pull up on the wipers. Good Luck,
