I have a 1995 mustang gt. it seems like about a week ago everything possiable has gone wrong with it. it has a auto tranny and for some reason you cant get the damn thing out of park, the brakes light dont work, the blinkers dont work, and the cruise control will not shut off by the pedaland the harzard light dont work. i have not idea what is up. i have checked the fuses and everything i can think off.

Please someone give me an idea!!!!!!

 

its most likely the multifunction switch(turn signals, wipers ect.)thepowerfor the shift interlock runs through it.if you turn the key to the unlock position ( not the run position, the dash lights should be off) you can shift into neutral and start the car, then shift into drive. this will get you running if you intend to take it to a shop, but be careful you will still have no brake lights or turn signals

 

i have tried that and it still dont work if i press the button really hard it will shift out of park but every dear after that the button is easy to depress until it goes back to park. where is the multifuction switch there is a switch under the dash on the brake pedal and it ohms out and there is 15 volts to it.

 

i just looked at the wiring again, the brake lamps the rear turn signals and the shift lock actuator are all fed form the instrument panel fuse box fuse #3 15a. the multi function switch is the turn signal switch.

 

Your Cruise Control - Look underneath the dash at the brake pedal. There should be a lime green attachment with a white bar that goe's up through the dash from the brake pedal. Is it broken?

 

well all these have to tie into one thing casue they all stop working at the same time. and o th turn signal switch the wipers still work and the #3 fuse 15a is good.
