I see you Mustang guys come over to my world all the time[sm=icon_cheers.gif]but now it is me thinking of doing the same thing. While I love my car and from a performance stand point it is going to take allot to match, I hate not being able to take the family out for a cruise. With two boys and a wife it would be nice to take the toy to dinner one night and not the commuter. So here I am, asking the pro's. This is not a post to compare (please lets not go there) but instead a post to see what you think would be a similar car. I have a 2001 Z06, it is cammed with all supporting mods and makes 430hp off the bottle and 580hp on the bottle. I love flashy so I want something that stands out. At this point it would be either a Roush or Saleen. SC is a most and budget would be about $30K or a trade. Here are a few pics of my car so you can see my taste. Some will HATE it and thats fine, others will think it is bad ***. Either way I am ok with it. looking to stay newer then a 00. Not sure when the body changed over (i think 05). 500hp off the bottle would be my goal. Thanks for all the positive feedback

03/04 Cobra, I would say a GT500 too but that won't fit in your budget.

That era of Cobra's are bad *** but don't have that wow factor when you look at them like the Roush and Saleen. I want that exact drivetrain in one of those cars.

So get the Cobra, sell the bumper covers and put on Roush or Saleen ones. Cobra's have plenty of wow factor. I can tell you right now, I don't do double takes when I see C5 Z06's or C6's on the road, but when a Terminator drives by that will get my attention.

A saleen extreme covertible would definitally be eye catching...expecially in beryllium orange

Wow...I forgot how much better the New Edge Saleen's looked compared to the S197's.

I'd say the GT500, then start adding the aftermarket mods.

If you want power & bling.. 03/04 Cobra with custom rims/rubber & a body kit.

Why spend $'s on a Saleen/Roush,, depending where you live you'll see cars just like yours on the street. Get something unique

That right there my friend would be the plan. The more I read up on the 03-04 Cobra the more appealed I am by the drive train. While I break neck at modded Vettes all the time, I will do the same for a stang.Hell I just got back into the office and seen a guy in a convert saleen, I opened up my 3" cutouts, threw a quick rev, and gave him a thumbs up. I appreciate the history of all American muscle cars. A 500 HP stang or Vette is bad *** in my book.
