Yea sure
As soon as an INDEPENDANT unbiased shop can verify that claim, pure BS
0-60 in 3 seconds? That's about twice as fast as a stock stang.. look at those rear tires. Even if that car HAD 400 hp, those rear tires wouldn't stick well enough to accelerate that fast

It sounds pretty outrageous, but people in the past have achieved what many considered impossible before. The article says the claims have been substantiated, but it will be interesting to see how he did it once he has tha patents and releases the information. Smokey Yunick did something similar in the 60's iirc with his patented Hot Vapor Engine. Wjether the auto makers will be willing to pay for the technology of ther patents remains to be seen.

Raising compression and timing curves to make the most use out of E85 is the first thing I'm sure he did.E85 is 100+ octane and a compression high enough to optimize the energy content of the fuel would destroy itself on straight gasoline.Taking weight out of the car and using low ratio gears in the rear end would give MPG's a boost. The weight loss would also explain the 0-60 speeds.

RE: 400 hp and 110 mpg
I would be interested in seeng this..I think the car manufactureres are full of s*t, myself. I had a dodge truck that was carbed and got 10mpg (85) then bought a newer one (04) that got 15mpg...You can't tell me that computers were invented to increace mileage. They don't want improvements. They just want to sell cars. You would think after 30 years, computers, and other tech advances, we would see better improvements.

Didn't you read....it was verified by an independent shop!

As much as we love our 5.0 & 4.6 engines there is JUST NO WAY those engines can be super-tuned to make tons of HP & awesmoe MPG. Sure somebody might come up with an internal combustion engine design that is superior but it's gonna have to be an entirely new engine design. There ain't NO WAY "our current engines" can be massively improved just by sticking a funky cool intake or exhaust sytem on it.
One of the promising setups I heard about was theuse ofceramic engine blocks & pistons. Those things didn't need any crankcase oil or even a cooling system because their design could handlethe heat & friction of operation, thereby dramatically improving their efficiency. I haven't heard of any development in that area lately,,
And even if some privateer comes up with some crazy system that is very efficient, it still needs to survive durability testing as well as emission & safety tests. Not easy to do
