Default Anyone Ever Tried This?

I realize this sounds a little crazy and know there are better ways to get power, but has anyone ever rigged up on of those compressed cans of gas (the type you use to clean off your computer keyboard) to shoot cold air into the intake? Just curious, as those things get pretty dang cold. It could be a cheap way to get some extra ponies.

And don't try to introduce me to nitrous oxide, as I'm quite aware of the stuff.

Just curious . . . thanks!

Thats basically what those stupid proclaimed "ebay chips" do. They are a transistor spliced into the MAF that tricks the MAF into thinking it's inducting more colder air then what it really is and richens it out. This can really screw things up, so no it wont work and you might be lucky to get 1-2 hp.

Bad idea. That canned air stuff is EXTREMELY flammable.

There was a kit that used CO2 that ran throught tubes on the inside of the intake. It was operated by a switch inside the car and cooled the intake air as the liquid CO2 changed to a gas.
I would think it would work in principal but since at WOT there is so much air moving so fast it couldn't cool the airby any appreciable amount.

I thought the "canned air" was CO2???????
Maybe not huh!
