Sounds like most of the issues are from shipping. If a box is damaged you shouldnt sign for it.

 

Installeda 2.5" Violater system on my 91 LX, it is withoutquestion theworst fitting cat back system I have ever installed!(I have installed more then2 dozen over the past 15 years)There wasnt a single component that the tail pipes DIDNT make contact with, after looking at the tail pipes they were simply to long on the muffler end. After cutting around 2" off the fittment is better, like mentioned above after tighenting down the flanges it was still lose as hell. I ended up tack welding the flanges back out 2" from the ball socket!!!!

THE FITMENT ISSUES ARE NOT AND ISSUE OF POOR PACKAGING.

Cat Backs for 5.0 fox bodys have been around for how long? A monkey could reverse engneer a cat back! I have also examined pypes sytems on other mustangs were owner said they had no problems,( I would have to disagree)it is aparent they dont know howa good cat backshould fit.....(not throwning stones at anyone here)
