someone with some knowledge reguarding rear end??
i have a 1997 3.8 v-6 .. i have a bent axle and i am in the drive way taking out my rear end.....( i would rather upgrade than fix right axle)................my buddie works at a junk yard and is tracking down a new rear end... the v-6 rear axle is i believe 7.5 inch rear axle with a 2.73....................i want to upgrade to a 373 ... how can i go about this without getting a v-6 rear end .. is it possible to swap a 373 rear end ? WIll it fit ????? help any information i need asap ....will it bolt to the drive shaft?

i would fix the axle and put a 3.73 in it while you have it out. if your capable. me personally dont do trannys or rearends. your driveshaft should work. as far as i know all mustangs 79-04 have the same 4 bolt pattern.

Stick with 94-04 and you'll be fine.
My advice isgo with 99-04 GT rear end you will get a stock 3.27 8.8" rear end with a limited slip differential. Better than the open diff you have right now and you can still get upgraded gears if you want.
