Default Champion Fiberglass Products - Horrible Experience

Just wanted to share my experience with champion fiberglass products so you can avoid the same mistake I made.

I orginally ordered a hood from them several weeks ago, and upon arrival it was badly damaged, the box was torn through and you could see scratches in the hood. I refused delivery of the hood and had them send a replacement.

I got the replacement about 2 weeks later and just brought it to the dealership today to have it mounted and painted.

Just got a call from the bodyshop and the guy told me that I have a nice car and he would recommend that I don't ruin it with this hood. He said the quality was so poor that it would take 8+ hours of prep work.

Whats worse is the mounting holes to bolt onto the OEM hinge were off by 1/2 inch.

I just called Champion fiberglass to tell them about this and all the woman said, was read our return policy, and she gave me an email to send photos.

Their return policy states that any hood is returnable for up to 30 days for a 10% re-stocking fee + shipping costs.

I don't feel I should have to pay this costs because of thier poorly manufactured hood that would not even fit on my car. Any advice on how I should handle this? [&:]

Thanks,

yeah, just use cervinis or other high quality hood manufacturers, it will save you money in the long run, and lots of headaches.
