Default Installing Run Channel liners on a Fox

Hey, I got a new set of window run channels from 50resto and before I head out there & think I know what I am doing, I thought I'd hit you guys up for some info. There is no specific information on the net or the board that I can find on what I need to do.

Do I just pull the old ones off & refit & trim the new ones? Do the door panels need to come off? I had knee surgery a couple of weeks ago so I can't get all involved in a project, but am going a bit stir crazy stuck in the house watching the stang gather dust in the driveway. Figured that might be an easy thing I can just sit there in thecar & do.

Any help is mucho appreciated.

Nobody? C'mon now, I know there has to have been a few people who have replaced them. Might just have to go out there & wing it tomorrow.

you just have to pull the old ones out and put the new ones in. you shouldn't have to trim them at all (i didn't). i just started them in the upper back corner of the window frame and once they were in, i rolled the window up to make sure they were in all the way. i don't remember if i had to remove the door panels or not.

Thanks. I was curious because at each end of the run liner (about 8 inches long) it changes and gets more flatwhere it would not grip the door frame anymore. I thought this part might extend down into the door along the track.

Just didn't want to start yanking the old ones off & be unprepared to finish the job.
