Default First Mustang

Hi,
I am looking to buy a used mustang. A seller claims that his mustang is the first of the body style new for 1999. The VIN number is 1FAFP4047X200001 . Can anyone tell me if infact it is the first mustang of the 99' body style, or how I can find out if it is.
Thanks

Doe's your car look like mine?
Which is 1999-2004.
If it look like mine except Rounded; it's a Pre1999 Style Mustang.

Yes is does. I'm not questioning what body style it is, I know it's 1999-2004. I'm just trying to find out if its the first one ever made.

Yep, did a little googling and an X in the 10th position = 1999 Mustang.

He's asking if that particular mustang is the very first 1999 mustang ever built. I don't know how one would validate that...maybe the fact that vin ends in 00001? Still no way to really tell.

Is the seller asking for a ton of extra money because the stang is "special"?

How much is he selling it for? What shape is it in?

I would not worry if it is or isn't. If the price is right for the condition the car, buy it. I know I would not pay any extra just because it was the first 1999 produced. That was not a MAJOR restyle, and if you plan on driving the car and enjoying it, you will loose any of the premium value it would have. It will take a VERY long time for the "First 1999 Mustang" to add any significant value to a car. If you are buying it as an "investment" you would be better off investing the money. Of course this is my opinion, and I don't understand people who have cars to look at them parked in a garage. My brother-in-lawhas a 64Impala with 39,000 original miles. It collects dust in a barn.To me it hasno value, the dust will collect withoutthe car sitting there. Buy it, drive it, mod it,enjoy it.Cars aren't investments.
