okay this is the thing, im on a light, waiting for green.... between neutral and 3rd gear, 2 things will happen.

1. when the lights about 2 go green, i put it in 1st gear, move along to build up speed for second, once i have it, as im shifting i notice that the car will come ALIVE and revv itself past the range i was shifting on causing me to burn the clutch...like if say im shifting at exactly 1500, itll revv itself to 2500-3000 and stay there for a couple of seconds...

2. when coming to a stop on a red light, i kick it in neutral to rest the BUM leg and again it comes alive and REVVs itself to around 2500.

now when this happens, ive tried to clutch in again and nothing...still revvin like a mad man...ive tapped the gas a few times and still nothing, it goes down on its own. usually when it happens, it lasts for about 2-4 seconds but thats enough to mess up my shifting and for me to smell that OH SO familiar burned clutch smell

now at first i burned the clutch because i wasnt aware of what was happening until i turned the music down lol..heard it cranking up....

now since i know it when i see it, i leave it in neutral until its done...


any ideas about why this is happening???
