Default Need help.

I recently bought an 82 stang with an L6, the L6 is going out, and its worth it to replace or rebuild it. What I want to know is whether I can fit a 302 in its place? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well the 302 was an option for your car back in '82, so swapping one in now should be no problem. And if you do the wreaking yard route you can get all the linkages & brackets you need for the swap, should be fun! A couple things..

-you're probably better off using a carburated 302 not a fuelie,, the install would be easier unless you WANT to tackle installing the computer & high pressure fuel system the injected engine would need
-what tranny are you gonna use? Auto or 4-speed?

cool, i would definitely go with the carbed, and as for the tranny, problably the 4 speed, depending on cost.
