Dude invest in a Chiltons or Haynes PAPER repair manual. It's great to be able have the book open right beside your car & see the photos & reference the torque charts etc.. they're CHEAP too.

Yea you can probably find some sort of general reference manual online if you can't afford $15. What car/year? What are you trying to fix?

those are for general repair only. they still kinda suck.

nothing is better than the ford manual, although it is a bit pricey its well worth it.

Probably nothing better than a Ford Shop Manual IMO.
But for your basic needs Auto Zone can supply youwith a lotof information and diargrams on how to do things.

Yea I know that. I was kinda assuming this guy wasn't attempting an engine rebuild using an online manual. Those general repair manuals cover 99% of what the average shadetree mechanic needs for general maintenance. Ford shop manuals are GREAT but theywould be overkill for simple repairs
