i want to remove my 4.6 out of an 00gt, and swap with a built 5.0, will the mounts line up, or will i need new hardware, and should i go with a .030 overbore or .040 for the pistons??

a 5.0 swap is more involved than you think it is.

if you mean 5.0 as in pushrod 5.0, then you'll need a whole k-member out of a 94-95 gt/cobra and the mounts as well as a new transmission as the bellhousing will not line up.

yes you weill need a tranny, also need new computer system to run the 5.0, i am trying to find out why your going backwards in technology you should be swapping in a 03/04 terminator motor ot a lightning motor hell even a gt500 motor not a 5.0

also just a fyi, you will be breaking federal emissions law by installing an older motor into a newer vehicle!

well in south carolina there is no inspection, so they will not know that it is swapped in, and im building it up before i swap it, its much cheaper to get more power out of the 5.0 than it is in a 4.6, if i could afford a gt500 motor, believe me, id have one
