c4 transmission crossmember help
ok..i got a 351w and c4 tranny..i swapped in to replace the 4cyl..motor and tranny are dropped in a bolted up..and i put the stock 4cyl crossmember back in and it does bolt up to the c4 ( i expected this)....so i was wondering does anyone know of a crossmember that would work for this swap/setup? the bolts on the c4 the appear that would go into holes on a crossmeber are to far forward..so i guess i need the crossmmeber to be able to slide forward towards the engine more to reach the bolts on the tranny?
can anyone help me out?
and also i need a crossmember that would allow an X pipe to run underneath...thanks

RE: c4 transmission crossmember help
YOu try a GT or cobra crossover? go to a junk yard and try it out. I know 4 cyl engine mounts and I think the cross members are differnet not sure how but the GT also had dual exhaust so they should at least clear ur exhaust system.

RE: c4 transmission crossmember help
yeah. it says it was modified for a c4though. it looked just like this one.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1987-...spagenameZWDVW .
I think some of the crossmembers you might have to cut one side each bushing and do some welding. but the link i just posted^^ is identical to mine.
