To sum things up:

I bought an ebay CAI a few years ago and it needed adjusting to make it fit, but it ended being a short air intake as opposed to in the fenderwell (because I cut it to make fit)

Now its melted the metal by the throttle (where the cai pipe connects to the intake manifold) a little bit, and its nearly falling off.

I have my original CAI minus maybe a few grommets that held it to the inside of my fender, can someone provide me a detailed step by step guide to installing a stock CAI with all the parts in peices as if it were fully disassembled?

Please and Thank you this would help me alot. I honoustly cant figure it out.
