If you like the "Looks" of a "Ricer" Then what you need to do is go sell yer Stang and Buy a "Ricer".

Malcom
It wouldn't be rice if I put a cobra R wing on it though, right? Oh wait, those only go on mustangs. Seriously, the hipocracy of you guys:

You say adding a wing to my car is rice, but then turn right around and suggest a Cobra R wing of all the possible options. I actually challenge you guys to find me a wing that's taller than that. I don't want tall, I just like the universal look, lanky stantions, alluminum wing, etc. If you guys don't know of one that goes well with the mustang SN95 new edge, that's fine, just say so. But all the name calling just isn't neccessary.

All that said, I'm agree with you, universal wings look like garbage on most cars, but I'm sure there's one out there that looks clean on an SN95 new edge and I'm determined to find one and put it on my car. My car is going to be built fortrack/street, not the drag strip. Otherwise I'd just get a whaletail.
its not the fact that the wing is tall that makes it "ricer" I don't consider stock evo, sti, supra, 3000gt, or 2g eclipse wings "ricer" Ricer is the aftermarket (and clearly aftermarket, not stock style) wings that fegs put on their cars that have no performance mods to warrant the need for a wing.
Heres a good one for you Dodge Charger Daytona/Plymouth Roadrunner Superbirds must be huge ricers with the size of their wings huh?
Those could decapitate a T-Rex, but if I recall they actually did help.

All that said, I just like the look. It will flow really well with my wheels and the gas cap thingy I'm going to get. Just about everything i'm adding to the car is black, after the gas cap, lowering springs, wing and tint, I'll be ready to move on to real performance mods, but yes, I am focusing on looks, as I've stated before in this thread if I recall, I am quite content with how my car performs. In fact, the only real performance mod I see myself doing in the near future is a tuner + gears. After that, it's a whole lot of savin' for the big buy. Thinkin' vortech, but I haven't decided yet.

do you have a picture of the back of your car?

And also, what happened to your GT hood? V6 hood FTL...
I personally like the sixxer hood. I'm not a big fan of the big scoop that the gt's have and the sixxer one kind of reminds me of a stock termie hood.

Since we're in the habit of referring to things by thier origional appearance (eg. Cobra R wing), I shouldn't hesitate to point out that the hood on my car first appeared on the N/A SN95 new edge cobras. So why are we calling it a V6 hood? And I personally agree with One Bad ****, it's cleaner and goes REALLY well with the GT side scoops, well enough that I may not even go to the lengths to delete them. Also, for all this talk of rice, how the **** can somebody reccomend I use a GT hood when it practically epitomizes rice?

While it was a straight trade between me and a sixer owner, it's still the cobra hood in my mind.

aynjell, one thing you want to keep in mind too is the fact that most of those "universal" wings are going to be almost 100% aesthetic and will offer no functional purpose other than more drag to your cars drag coefficent.... in other words more resistanceand poor aerodynamics. If installed inproperly (at the wrong angle, so to speak), itwon't help create down force at all and in some cases at higher speeds make your car less stable and very unsafe. I think what some guys on here are trying to say is that the wings that are on the Cobra R and the Steeda (not 100% on the Steeda) are already functional.... in other words Ford and Steeda have already done the R&D and wind tunnel testing and have developed a functional piece of equipment.I agree that the Cobra R wing looks ridiculous in some respects, but it's a race car for the road and in that light it's dead sexy!!! If you're looking for that race car look it won't get any better than that... unfortunately anything else may kind of mess up your car... I don't know if that helps, but good luck in your search.

Thankfully some respectable advise. I would go cobra if they didn't look so damned goofy, but if I was to go any of the wings reccomended so far it would probably be the steeda wing, but the roush drag wing is pretty sweet looking, I just wish they made it for my car too. =\

For whoever it was that asked, here's some pics of my car in totality, but this is back when I had the GT hood, I DO have the cobra hood now.

I can't really call the car rice, it's got a nice black/redfire theme. Mach 1 stuff up front in case you didn't see in the other pic but here it is again:

The lady let me take a modelish pic, too.

BTW, I'm kind of drunk right now. Shooting whisky so please don't freak out if my typing starts to get goofy.

In case you guys haven't noticed, I'm the shaved, debadged, clean lines type of guy, but for whatever reason I like the mangled look of the alluminum wings. Not really sure why, but I do. [&o]

I guess since I can't find one that looks good and won't **** up my car, I'll have to sit tight with my wing delete. Thanks anyway, guys.

No I agree, at first glance the Cobra Rwing does look goofy, but it can be pulled off with the right combo (ie: wheels, front spoiler, etc..) Not to mention with the right power under the hood...

Thanks for the advice, It's not that I want to rice up my stang. I still think altezza's are an injustice even on a kia, but for whatever reason I just like the universal wing look. That being said, I'd rather stay wingless than go cobra R. On a GT, no matter how you slice it, it turns your car into a Fobra, and that's pretty ricey in my book. But I have seen some cars (in fact, on my way home from getting the 01 cobra hood) that had that wing and it looked okay. That wing looks really nice on verts.
