Does anyone know how to install a side view mirror on a 1999 GT?

 

A quick description, based on what I remember from doing this last time:

1) Pinch and pull the triangular speaker grill off of your door speaker.

2)Unscrew the bolts holding the speaker to the door ( believe this frees the speaker to dangle for a few minutes while you swap the mirror.

3) You will the bolts holding the mirror housing to the door, unscrew these until the mirror is freed up.

4) Reach down into the cavity and unplug the adjustment motor harness from the old mirror.

5) Have your new mirror very close by, so that you and immediately swap mirrors and re-plug the existing harness into your new mirror harness.


6) Bolt everything back up, in reverse from how you took it apart.

Pretty easy, and it will pretty much be self explanitory once you see what the layout is when the speaker is out of the way.
