Default Clutch cable adjustment

I have an 83 Mustang t-5 Tranny. I put in a new clutch, now clutch engagment is at the end of clutch release. How do I adjust this? Do I adjust at firewallor at clutch pedal? It is all stock, no aftermarket adjusters.

Thanks,,,Brandon......

Default RE: Clutch cable adjustment

Hey. If you haven't fixed it by now, here's my 2 cents. I had a similar problem with my 87 Mustang. Someone had replaced some components in the clutch assembly and just made a huge mess of things. With the pedal all the way to the floor I couldn't get a gear...and when I did the clutch would slip horribly. There is an adjustment in the firewall and the cable I had also had a bolt at the end where it connected to the transmission. There is no way to adjust it in the clutch assembly. I would try at the transmission first then fine tune the adjustment at the firewall. In my case that didn't even work. I had to have the actual pedal cut and rewelded at a more acute angle to give it more travel. Now it works great. Hope that's some help....
