do you guys think this actually adds that much, or do you think they are lying?

Let me guess. Ebay chip? All that is in that is a resistor which tricks your ecu into thinking the air coming into the intake is colder than it is. Just makes the computer dump more fuel into the engine all the time, sometimes helps by a few hp (MAYBE!) usually hurts more than helps. Go and buy a resistor and wire it up yourself from radioshack for under a dollar. Best bet for a cheap chip is like a used jet chip, or better yet, save up and buy a programmer from SCT or Diablo or something. Used they sell on here for like a hundred bucks maybe.
