Default Heads or Engine

I have white smoke pouring out of my tail pipe, and the milky oil. What would be the chances of it being the gasket? Most likely cracked head?

I have a 96 sixxer with 140,000+ miles. Should I just get a new engine? It would probably be cheaper to get an engine from a junkyard. Let me know.

The chances of a head gasket are great but the cracked head I don't know.
Getting an engine from a junkyard is a crapshoot at best.

Think about what you want to do with the car, keep it or get rid of it.You might think about a V8 also.

Changing the head gaskets isn't a big job and you'll still have the engine and known history you have now.A junkyard engine could be ready to blow a head gasket,or worse, the next day.

I would think that about a junkyard engine but I know the owner of the one and we've known him for a long time. A girl told me that when she had hers done that the guy that did it told her every mustang usually needs new heads around 145,000+ miles.
