Default Window Help Please

So when I got off workI rolled down my window andI noticed a weird noise when it reached the bottom. Now when I press the switch the window will barely move. I can hear it trying to move so I'm sure the motor is working. Also I can push the switch and pull up or down and it will move. Does this just mean it came off of the tracks? I need to know how the get the door panel off. I'm really not sure how to get it off. Any advice will help alot.

take apart the window motor.

sounds like the bushings inside the motor could be eaten up, which is an easy fix.

Well I took the door panel off and examined everything. The motor seems to be working fine. I checked to make sure the tracks are all clear and that its staying inplace when the window goes up and down. Im thinking the metal gear that pushes those metal teeth up and down has worn down. Or like 945lstang stated the bushing are worn. Now can someone tell me how to get that motor out. Is it hard to get it all back in place and hooked up as well. Please let me know if anyone has taken that window motor out and can offer good support.

there should be three bolts that i believe are 8mm that hold the motor to the door. you will need to remove the speaker so you can pull the window motor out through it.

I found a window motor repair kit on ebay for like 5 bucks so Im gonna buy that. Is there any other thing you can think of that'll help me in the process of taking the motor out and puttin in the new bushings. I really appreciate your help.

prying the front cover off of the motor without bending itis a little tricky. it just takes time and patience.

the same can be said for putting in the new bushings. its a bitch but with a little patience you should be fine.

this is what mine looked like after i removed the cover. you can see all the little chewed up pieces of the bushings.

mine was in pretty bad shape.

forgot to mention...to remove that gear you needa set of snap ring pliers.

thats it as far as special tools go.
