Default 4.6l upgrade

I've been told that I can take my 2008 GT Mustang and with an upgrade to the cold air intake and an exhaust upgrade I can get about 47 hp of additional power by the Accessorize Manager at my Ford dealership, is this true as I want to boost the power without going to a charger right now.......Ignore my misspelling on my login name as I am awaiting MF to correct the spelling to Highway Star (Deep Purple song). Default RE: 4.6l upgrade

Hi:
Both the exhaust and the Cold Air (Air Cleaner) will add horsepower. The CAI can be had at K&N or BBK. There are others, but these are the best. Headers and exhaust will also add HP, however I would be skeptical of almost 50 HP. Add a tuner to optomize air fuel ratios and spark advance will get you another 20 to 40 HP. The tuner has three pre programmed tunes for 87-91 and 93 octane, and saves the original factory tune so that you can return it to stock before dealership work, oil changes etc!. The Cold Air return and tuner will get you the most bang per buck. The Predator Tuner works well on my 2007 Shelby GT. Try it you'll like it1
Best/ Bill
