when i get to about 50+ i here a like wining noise sounds like inrear of car? what is it??

 

do you have aftermarket gears

 

?Yeah I have 373 gears, but I hear them 1st, 2nd, and sometimes 3rd...(exhaust drowns it out). It could be your tranny whining... does it do it only around the same speed, or under the same load? My tranny whines when Im barely on the gas, cruising

 

Probably the gears. Mine are 3.73 but wont whine until i hit 75-80. Itll stop if i speed up or slow down. There nice and quiet at 50. Not sure what it is about the 3.73 but i hear more about them whining than any other gear. Strange.

 

Could be a vacuum or exhaust leak. Check your hoses and the bolts around the headers and intake manifolds to make sure that they're tight.
