k i found the answer to my own question, i think im gonna run an EFI system if i get the 408, now what about the motor itself, who sells a good stroker kit? also most kits come with pistons, is it best to use their pistons and what ever else it may comewith?

coast high performance is a good company from what i have heard. their site is www.coasthigh.com . the motor mounts are the same. you have to use 408- specific pistons. the kit comes with forged pistons in various compression ratios, so there is no reason to use other ones.

depends on how much power ur lookin to make. i would suggest gettin it because its a heck of a lot cheaper than a cracked block, but wont be necessary (dependin on power output) because the 351W can handle a bit more power than the 302.

engine isnt much heavier. you dont need to beef up the suspension. if u converted to manual steer and move the batt to the back you would make up the diff.

go with a 302 stroked out to a 331 or 347 the 351 has a taller deck height so with efi u will need a new cowl induction hood and there is a pretty big weight differance between a 302 and 351, a 331 or 347 will have just as much power if not more then a 351 and most of the acessory brackets will have to be changed if u go with a 351 on a 331 or 347 u can just use ur old ones. well good luck on what ever u do [:@]
