i have come to the conclusion i want a new motor, what im working with is a 95 mustang gt convertible, what i wanna do is build a motor with some power, i have heard the 331 stroker is a good motor, if this is the best way to go should i just find a 302 block get it bored and buy the stroker kit?[sm=feedback.gif][sm=thanx.gif]

ya its street/strip app, not really a daily driver the most i drive it is about 15 miles a day unless i got to the track then its a little more, i would like it streetable tho

in reply to the post on the other form, can u put efi on the 408? cuz i know the 351 is a windsor/cleveland motor, or should i just run it carborated?

well, if ur not gonna be revving the sh*t out of it you can go 347. if u really want power look into a 351W based engine. you can go up to 427 with that block. and yes, you can go EFI with that. but if ur on a budget carbed will give you the gas and air flow you need for a much lower price.

ok so looks like im gonna be looking for a 351w block, so i can bore it out, whats a good carb, holley and edelbrock?

just go with a 351 with maybe 30 over some flat top pistons fly cut ,alum heads and you can inject it for about the same cost...use a 30# injectors..can do some trading with your old stuff on new stuff...

despite everyone saying get a 351, i think im gonna build a 331 stroker motor, i found that the 351 would be harder to put in my 95 gt, so since i feel like doing a little less work and after talking to my dad i think im gonna buy a 302 block and bore it into a 331. thanks for the input

ur gonan have to upgrade the injector stuff anyways if u got the 331 route if you do h/i/c.

ya i do know ill need bigger injectors but i have a new topic up if you guys could help me out im trying to compare the work and time i need to put in the 2 motors to see wich one would be esiar, the 331 can use stock motor mount locations what about the 408, also my other topic has the question what does it take the get the efi wired to the 408, or whats it take to get my car to run a carb..just trying to do my research thanks for all your help
