Default Drag Radials

Do you prefer the Nitto 555R Drag Radials or the Mickey Thompson E/T Streets. I am going back and forth between these two tires. The more people i talk to say that the M/Ts suck and dont hook up at all. I have Nittos right now and they are less then 50% life on them and they dont hook in first what-so-ever. So i dont know which will work better, if you know of any tires thatll work better then those two let me know also. Im trying to get it so i dont have to buy slicks, because i would like to drive it on the street. Thanks.

Go with the et streets. Do you have aftermarket upper and lower control arms?
The nitto tires work ok but not even close to what the et streets will give you.
I have not tried the mt dr yet, but i've heard good things about them.

Nittos are ok for your average car, but they compare to nothing like the mickey thompson dr's or the et streets. Both of those tires will hook like no tommorow, so I dont know who you talked to saying they dont hook, cause you could kiss your trans and rear good buy if you hook a little to hard with et drag radials and et streets. Now if your gonna use them to drive on the street, then you dont want them, you want nittos or bfgs are a risk in the rain, but track and nice weather only, go either et drag radiuals or et streets

BFG Drag Radials are the best! If they can make my pops 500 horse power cobra hook and get 1.6 sec, 60 foots then they can hook anything trust me.

The M/T is THE best D/R out right now. Nittos are are the worst hooking but best wearing D/R and the BFG is somwhere in the middle. Whoever you talked to was a moron.

Blew out old rear-end though and i am stuck with a stock rear-end... is this going to be a problem?? Also, i only have a 4-lug configuration, i talked to a guy at a tire shop and he said that 4-lug is not enough, that ill twist them right off, is this true??

How much power are you making? I have seen cars run 10's on 4 lug wheels. The stock 8.8 is a good rear, I think you will be ok as long you are making in the 300 hp range.

500 hp and only 1.6s? should be alot better really

also nothing wrong with 4 lugs. there isnt any real advantage to having 5 lug[ except brakes/wheels] who you got that info from was probably a rube that didnt know much. look at some pro racers running 4 lug and not having issues. now cheap studs will fail, but your not making htat kind of power
