This car I speak of weighs 3700 pounds w/o the driver... and runs 11.70's @ 120 MPH. In a car that heavy a 1.6 is the best you can do on a street legal tire and not a wrinkle wall slick.

So the M/T's are better than the BFG's? Because my bro has the BFG's and they are awesome!! It is like a whole new car.. I would go with the BFG's although I have no experience with the M/T's... I watched a guy with Nitto's on his 95 and he spun them off the line, wheras my bro grips like a SOB...

what is a good RPM to launch at?? i launch at 2000 and i spin them all the way through first... if i roll out of the hole, and then punch it ill still roast them all the way through first... i think i need new tires, from what i am hearing the M/T E/T Street Drag Radials are the best out there, ill just have to try them out, thanks a lot guys.

For now.....considering before I got the M/T's I was launching under 2000 in order to grip 4000 is a big jump.....

I used BFG drag radials. They dont last long but hook good. Much better than my BFG G-forces. I have not triet M/Ts but some people talk highly of them. I recon u got 2 choices really. I guess Nittos are more like high performance tires. Import cars use em all the time. I will check the prices and see which one I use, I will use either BFG G-forces( or Michelin Pilot2s same stuff) or Nittos....

Nittos suck for traction but there alot better in the rain, the bfgs i use all the time they hook good but they suck in the rain i almost died on the highway one day in a freak thunderstorm! The bfgs i think are the best plus if your runnin 15 inch tire they'll really hook good cause there is so much sidwall.Mine are 18s and there isnt much sidewall so the traction isnt as good. The fastest stangs are runnin 8s on the 10.5w M/T 15 inch

the nittos are a ggod tire for a middle of the road drag radial. they work pretty good in the rain when they are new and hook alot better than regular performance radials....again, when they are new. They last longer than the BFGs but the BFG is a better tire for the track. No question about it.
