I'm going to be getting my FRPP exhaust installed in about a month, but I was told that installing these at the same time would provide the best results for my car:

What do these do, will they add horsepower and make the car sound better, or are they a waste of money?

You already have shorty headers on your car stock, and the manifolds have just as good airflow and performance as aftermarket ones. If anything, go longtubes.
