Ok this is going to be a noob question but my car being my first and all I am not so sure. I have a 5spd 04 GT. Everytime I park my car, I leave it in neutral and just use the handbrake which I heard only locks the rear. When I look into my wheels to check my brakepads and check the front, I realized that the brakepads are contacting the rotors.

Is this normal? I asked my dad and he told me that even though it looks like it's touching, it's not really. He said theres not suppose to be a visible gap or something...

Your dad is correct.

 

yep hes right..cuz if there was a big gap it'd allow the pads to flop around and thats just not good lol..
