Ok, so I just bought an '08 Shelby GT Barrett Jackson edition, and it has the Shaker 1000 in it. The stereo has the phone button on it, but the dealer doesn't know what it is supposed to do or if you can hook a phone to it or what. When I press the button, the text on the stereo reads "No Phone". So can anyone enlighten me as to the function (or lack thereof) of the button and if there is bluetooth or a physical hook-up for a phone on this system?

 

is it a bluetooth connection?

if so, you need to have a bluetooth compatible phone that will automatically detect the car or be automatically detected by the car. that's probably the issue.

 

There was a thread a little while back about this, and I think the conclusion was that it didnt do anything.... I could be wrong on that though cause I didnt follow it too closely...

 

I have on on my shaker 500, and from what i read in the manuel all it does is mute the radio when you push it. And thats exactly what it does which is stupid when you can just turn it off real quick and the off **** is closer. But i would really like to know if there does happen to be another use for it.

 

Mine does the same thing. I was bummed when I found out all it did was mute the radio.
