Default Lowering 1968 Mustang

I am trying to lower the front of my 1968 Mustang Fastback but cannot find 2" drop spindles. Can someone tell me where I can find them or if it is okay to cut coil springs to lower the needed 2"?

I had a similar problem with my 87 Ram. Not a bunch of aftermarket support.

I don't like cutting springs because unless you cut a full coil. The tail will not sit properly in it's seat.

Ended up buying a custom wound set from Coil Spring Specialties. They made me a pair that were the exact engineering specs as factory but let the truck sit down 2".
