Default Power window

I have had my 03 Mustang since new and have had my power window work and not work off and on for the last couple years. It would just not go down for a few weeks and then it would work for months. Now I have a job where i need it to go down so I can get electronic access to the parking garage. I "hear" electric contact and even see power drain when I push the button for the window to go down but nothing happens. Can I fix this myself? and how?

Probably a bad motor, a bad switch, or hopefully just a connection at the switch. But if you can tell that there is an electric drain when pressing the button, then I would assume that it is more than likely the motor or switch itself.

You can certainly fix any (or all) of these yourself. The motor is a little more tricky, but you can do it if you are patient and take your time.

Let us know what you do to fix the problem.
