Default 89 Mustang. ($500)

So I bought an 89 mustang for $500, from a kid on campus. Anyways, it needed a transmission, I had Central Maine Mustang rebuild the current one. They said the transmission was "Built", with updated syncro's and ****, anyone have any info on this?

Apparently alot of **** has been done to the car that I didn't know about. So I took pictures, and I wanted to know if you guys could tell me any specifics about the stuff I took pictures off. I'm asking because I don't want to buy and performance parts if they are already on there.

The rear end kind of interests me because it has some kind of bubble on it, never seen that before.

Stock rearend or no? Can you tell what kind of exhaust system that is? It also has for catalytic converters is the the usual w/ these cars?

The headers I know aren't stock, because they bolt as individual pipes instead of one solid peice like the thought they were supposed to be.

Frame Strengthiners?

I ended up racing a 2005 WRX Turbo AWD. I thought this car would rip the old stang, but I had a car length by the time i got into the powerband in second, and I was pulling away.

Edit:
Also, H Pipe? What does a H Pipe add to the car's exaust performance/sound wise?

Also, my oil pressure is high, like 90 or so all the time, is that good or bad?

k first of all the car has flowmaster mufflers with a stock H, second those are stock headers recommend an upgrade, third the car does have subframes great for rigity, 4th get rid of that stock H and get an offroad. and the diff looks normal to me. the oil pressure gauge is most likely broken.. i replaced mine 3 times before , now i just have a mechanical oil pressure gauge and it reads correctly

Stock H Pipe, ok, what would a off-road one do for the car?

And the stock headers are like that? What do you recommend for an upgrade?

Oil gauge broken eh? How hard is it to hook up a mechanical one? Or how hard is it to replace the stock one?

Thanks for awnsering all the stuff i posted bud.

if your area has emissions laws you'll want to go with a high flow H pipe, or do a mid pipe shuffle during emissions time, an offroad H means no cats so no restriction, they give a meaner tone along with more power. for the headers make sure you buy some with a one piece flange, MAC ones are individual and have a tendency to warp over time. you can replace the sending unit if you dont want an aftermarket gauge, in the third pic it should be behind the power steering pump with a single wire hooked to the top of it.
