Computer shuts off 2000gt
2000gt 4.6 dohc This car was stolen. Radio and speakers were stolen. The car will start and run for alittle bit then the computer shuts the car down and will not start again till the battery is disconnected for alittle while then reconnected. I had this problem with a 94 Firebird turned out to be a bad chip in the ignition key. Is the missing radio causing the problem? GM has their security/vats connected to the radios in their cars in the Firebird I have. Is their a security/computer chip in the key of this mustang? I may purchase this car if I can fix it.
i am not that good with the gt's. but go and look at another 2000 gt and see if the radio is the anti theft one. if so it is a part of the computer network, and will have to be there for the car to run and drive...
