Yea, ha ha. You don't know what you are talking about.
You keep a full tank of gas to keep down the condensation in the tank.
Critters are mice that use your engine and tail pipes for a nest. They crawl into the wrong holes, you start up in spring and, bam.

Full tank. Put fuel stabilizer in it. Disconnect the battery to avoid parasitic draw from the clock and other systems. You should move it around every two weeks or so to prevent the tires from getting flat-spotted. Over inflating them during storage might work too, or just take them off.
I store a convertible in winter but I take it out and drive it every so often when the roads are dry. I found the connecting and disconnecting of the battery to be annoying, especially with a cold wrench in a cold garage.
Go over to eBay and get a manual battery cutoff ****. You'll only have to use a wrench once. It's also a convenient way to gum-up a theft attempt.
It's good to spend some time sealing-up the storage location and/or vehicle against critters as previous posters have said. Whatever you do don't use poison. They'll eat it, get up inside the car, and die. Won't smell too good when spring comes.

It's good insurance but fuel stabilizer is not neccessary for winter storage. If i'ts going under the cover for 2 or more years, then for sure.
Regardless of your interval. Change the oil and filter so it's stored with fresh oil. Used oil contains acids. Not something you want in your crankcase during storage.
Don't bother to start it and warm it up. Let it sit until you are ready to drive it.
