There is nothing wrong with MC filters and MC synthetic blend. For the money it is a fine oil.

Personally I use Mobil 1 and the MC filter.

I've always used Penzoil/Fram simply because my dad and his dad did. The 07 stang gets MC and the F250 5.7 with 120K receintly swithced to MC semi-senthetic.
I think the routine change and proper warm up are good advice on any oil.
I've noticed on the F250 that it seems to be using oil now. It's only on it's second change with the MC, so I'll do more recording before I commit to that being true.
Does that sound right to ya'll though.

The mustang gets Mobil 1 oil/filters whereas my truck just gets the store brand crap with a motocraft filter. I've seen that website linked above as well as the sites that did independent tests on synthetic oil and filters (I forget the exact links). I made my choice based on the information from those sites and other places. I don't care much about the truck though.

Not to jack the thread but im going to change the oil in the stang saturday, and its been sitting for a week. Can I just let the oil out and change it or should I warm up the engine a little bit then change it?

In MustangMan's defense Fram filters are total garbage. It sucks cause you can buy the best oil on the market but if you run it through a garbage filter it means nothing. If you want a good laugh cut a Fram filter open, you'll see.
