Ok so im new to the forum and I currently own a 82 mustang lx with a 3.3L strait six. The car has alot of suspension modifications to it and some body work done. But the newest stumble if started on is an Australian 4.1L strait six with a cross flow head, but its all apart and is in need of a lot of work. I was wondering if anyone knew of a parts guide or some type of book to give me specifications on it (clearances and info like that) or even a place on the web???

Ive never heard of that engine, but Im sure Haynes makes a repair manual for it. Just look for a Haynes manual that covers your year Mustang. Ive had one for every vehicle Ive had, love them

 

the 4.1 is a 250cid inline six that is directly swappable with the 4.9 ford 300cid It shares the same bell pattern as ford small blocks. unlike the 200cid

I'm not sure where to find a book off hand but I will look around for ya. I am very interested in the Idea of placing the 300 in my 2.3 merc capri some day so this topic is relevant.
